- $589,960 – The Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs awarded $589,960 to the town of Wellfleet in response to the town's application for a Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Program Action Grant. According to the town's Expenditure Ledger, the money was disbursed to the Friends of Herring River between July 29 and September 13, 2022, presumably for the Friends (as project manager) to pay contractors for work on the Herring River Restoration Project
- Two 2023 agreements between the town of Wellfleet and the Friends of Herring River (FHR) lay out the conditions under which the town would transfer grant money to the FHR to pay contractors for construction of the Herring River Restoration Project. (The Wellfleet Selectboard approved the agreements in August 2023.)
- $375,000 – Sub-award #1 to the Friends of Herring River for "up to $375,000 in Technical Assistance funds granted to the Town by the US Department of Agriculture Natural Resource Conservation Service (USDA NRCS) … to complete final design for the Chequessett Neck Bridge and final design and bid documents for the low-lying road elevations/culvert replacements project elements."
- $14,690,000 – Sub-award #2 to the Friends of Herring River for "up to $14,690,000 of grant money awarded by NOAA "to the Town of Wellfleet for activities within the Herring River Restoration Project."
